About the role
ClassPass is actively searching for a detail-oriented financial professional to join our team in Brazil and take ownership of critical financial processes that underpin the health of the business. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end reporting, forecasting, and budget cycles that provide clarity into our operational performance. You will work closely with cross-functional partners including Pricing, Inventory, and Business Intelligence to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable business insights. Your analysis will directly drive strategic decision-making by evaluating the financial impact of initiatives and market conditions. You will be responsible for ensuring that our financial models are robust, dynamic, and aligned with the company's growth objectives. This position requires a high level of ownership, where you will not only produce reports but also challenge assumptions and recommend optimizations. You will play a key role in communicating financial outcomes to leadership, helping to shape the future direction of revenue management and profitability.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including performance analysis and variance commentary that highlights key drivers of change.
- Develop annual operating plans and long-term financial forecasts that incorporate scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
- Investigate discrepancies between actual performance and projected targets, working with stakeholders to adjust strategies and close gaps.
- Manage financial models and metrics alongside the Pricing, Inventory, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure alignment and data integrity.
- Oversee the financial health of marketing expenditures, revenue collection, and studio partner payouts to optimize profitability.
- Conduct ad hoc financial assessments and business cases, such as marketing ROI analysis and partner prepayment evaluations, to support investment decisions.
- Perform market and competitive research regarding pricing and promotions to guide trade-off decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
- Present financial updates to leadership, with future opportunities to manage the revenue FP&A team and mentor junior analysts.
- Partner with finance and operations stakeholders to define, track, and report on key performance indicators that measure business health.
- Drive process improvements in financial reporting by identifying automation opportunities and enhancing data workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that pricing strategies are data-backed and aligned with market dynamics and revenue goals.
- Support the evaluation of new markets and product offerings by building financial frameworks that assess viability and risk.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and external regulatory requirements relevant to operations in Brazil.
- Act as a financial thought partner to the business, providing insights that balance strategic ambition with fiscal responsibility.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a strategy/analytics role at a high-growth technology firm.
- Proficiency in SQL or Snowflake for independent data retrieval, transformation, and analysis without heavy reliance on engineering support.
- Advanced capabilities in Excel, specifically in constructing executive-level financial models that are scalable and easy to audit.
- Deep knowledge of P&L mechanics and core financial drivers, including revenue recognition, cost structures, and contribution margin.
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly through written, visual, and verbal formats tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- High standards for accuracy and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data anomalies before they impact decision-making.
- Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and rolling forecasts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of deliverables.
Nice to have
- Experience using Looker, Tableau, or Anaplan to build dashboards and streamline reporting workflows.
