About the role

Bamboohr is seeking an experienced SAP BRIM CM Functional Consultant to join their organization and contribute to meaningful client engagements. This role focuses on the Contract Management module within SAP's Billing and Revenue Innovation Management suite, which handles the full lifecycle of business contracts from creation through renewal and termination. The consultant will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and maintaining contract management processes to ensure they meet the specific needs of each client. The position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to understand their contract workflows and translate those needs into effective SAP system configurations. The consultant will also be expected to support system testing, documentation, and user training activities throughout project engagements.

What you'll do

Configure and maintain the SAP BRIM Contract Management module to support business contract processes and workflows.

Analyze client contract workflows and translate detailed requirements into system configurations and custom settings within SAP.

Design contract templates and define contract lifecycle stages including initiation, approval, execution, and renewal phases.

Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper integration between contract management and billing and revenue modules.

Support the testing and quality assurance of contract management configurations, enhancements, and system upgrades.

Document functional specifications, configuration details, and standard operating procedures for all contract management processes.

Lead end-user training sessions and provide ongoing support for contract management functionality across the organization.

Participate in project discovery sessions to identify contract management needs and recommend improvement opportunities.

Manage contract data migration activities during system implementations, upgrades, and landscape transitions.

Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solution designs for contract workflows.

Configure contract approval workflows and define escalation rules to enforce organizational governance and compliance standards.

Monitor contract performance metrics and generate reports to help business teams track contract health and obligations.

Requirements

Experience with SAP BRIM Contract Management module configuration and customization is required for this role.

Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management processes and business rules is necessary to succeed.

Proven ability to gather and document functional requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into system configurations.

Experience with SAP configuration tools and the SAP customizing environment is expected of candidates.

Familiarity with contract template design and contract approval workflow setup is essential for this position.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities in a fast-paced consulting setting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed for client-facing interactions and detailed documentation.

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience is required for consideration.

Prior experience with SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management or related SAP financial modules is preferred.

Comfort with traveling to client sites and adapting to changing project demands and timelines is important.

Nice to have

Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and its contract management capabilities would be highly beneficial.

Knowledge of revenue recognition standards such as ASC 606 or IFRS 15 is a valuable plus.

Prior consulting experience in a professional services or systems integration environment is strongly valued.

Familiarity with SAP Fiori user interface and SAP GUI for contract management and billing tasks.

Understanding of data migration strategies and tools used during SAP system implementations and upgrades is helpful.
