SAP BRIM CI Functional Consultant

About the role

Bamboohr is looking for an experienced SAP BRIM CI Functional Consultant to contribute to their team in a full-time capacity. The role focuses on the configuration and integration dimensions of SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining billing and revenue processes within the SAP BRIM environment. You will partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate those needs into effective functional configurations. The work involves supporting end-to-end billing cycles and ensuring that the SAP BRIM system delivers accurate and timely results for the organization. The consultant will also be expected to stay current with SAP BRIM updates and best practices to continuously improve the billing and revenue management environment.

What you'll do

Analyze business requirements related to billing and revenue management processes and document functional specifications in detail for the development team

Configure SAP BRIM modules to support complex invoicing scenarios, billing plans, revenue recognition, and related financial workflows across the organization

Integrate SAP BRIM with other SAP modules and third-party systems to ensure that data flows correctly between all connected platforms

Participate in design reviews and provide functional guidance during the build, test, and deployment phases of project delivery

Support the migration and upgrade of existing billing configurations to newer SAP BRIM releases while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations

Collaborate with technical teams to identify and resolve integration issues and ensure that system performance meets established expectations and standards

Create and maintain comprehensive functional documentation including process descriptions, configuration guides, test scripts, and user reference materials

Conduct user acceptance testing sessions and develop training materials to support end-user adoption and smooth transition to new processes

Work with project managers to estimate effort, define realistic timelines, and track progress against delivery milestones throughout the project lifecycle

Act as a trusted subject matter expert for SAP BRIM CI topics across the organization and provide guidance to cross-functional project teams

Requirements

Proven experience working with SAP BRIM in a functional consultant role on implementation, enhancement, or support projects in a professional setting

Strong understanding of billing and revenue management business processes and the ability to map those processes to SAP configurations effectively

Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear functional design specifications

Hands-on experience with integration scenarios involving SAP BRIM and other SAP or non-SAP systems in a live production environment

Familiarity with SAP configuration tools and the confidence to perform setup, customization, and maintenance tasks independently

Excellent communication skills with the capacity to present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to both technical and business audiences

Willingness to travel or adjust working hours as project demands require, showing flexibility and commitment to delivery goals

A degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in SAP functional consulting gained through years of professional work

Nice to have

Exposure to SAP S/4HANA billing and revenue management modules and an understanding of how they relate to SAP BRIM functionality

Experience with SAP Cloud for Billing or related cloud-based billing platforms that complement on-premise SAP BRIM deployments

Knowledge of revenue recognition standards such as ASC 606 or IFRS 15 and their practical impact on system configuration and testing

Familiarity with automation tools or scripting approaches that support CI/CD pipelines for SAP configuration management and release processes

Skills & tools

SAP BRIM configuration and customization capabilities across billing and revenue management modules

Functional specification writing and requirements analysis methodologies for capturing stakeholder needs accurately

SAP integration technologies and middleware concepts relevant to connecting SAP BRIM with other systems

Deep knowledge of billing and revenue management processes and their technical implementation in SAP

Project delivery skills including effort estimation, timeline planning, and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle

Proficiency with documentation and presentation tools for creating functional design materials and delivering training sessions

Understanding of CI/CD principles as they apply to SAP configuration and integration workflow automation
