About the role
You will coordinate the design and ongoing management of fund composition in collaboration with platform and fund leadership. This role will maximize the realized and unrealized value of our diverse investment portfolio to advance fund performance objectives. You will synthesize complex data into clear narratives that explain investment performance and strategic positioning to both internal and external stakeholders. You will serve as a key liaison between investment teams and portfolio oversight leadership to ensure alignment on strategy and execution. The position will provide detailed support in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on key performance metrics across assigned funds. You will contribute to the preparation of investor-facing materials that highlight the delivery of value and adherence to fund mandates. This function will require a disciplined approach to documenting investment rationales and tracking the evolution of asset strategies over time. You will play an integral part in maintaining the integrity and transparency of our portfolio oversight processes.

What you'll do
Conduct in-depth analysis of portfolio-level performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and key drivers of value creation.
Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models that project cash flows, test scenarios, and assess the impact of strategic decisions on portfolio outcomes.
Prepare comprehensive performance reports that articulate investment results, benchmark comparisons, and attribution analysis for review by senior leadership and investors.
Collaborate closely with investment professionals to gather underlying data, validate assumptions, and ensure the accuracy of portfolio reporting.
Monitor the implementation of fund strategies to confirm adherence to stated mandates, risk parameters, and capital deployment schedules.
Support the evaluation of potential secondary opportunities by conducting preliminary due diligence on assets, structures, and sponsor capabilities.
Coordinate cross-functional working sessions to align investment, finance, and operations teams on portfolio positioning and performance improvement initiatives.
Leverage data visualization tools to create clear, concise dashboards that track key performance indicators and highlight exceptions for timely action.
Assist in the preparation of regulatory and compliance-related reporting where applicable to ensure that portfolio activities meet established guidelines.
Contribute to special projects that enhance the firm's portfolio management capabilities, including process optimization, system enhancements, and documentation of best practices.
Perform ad hoc analyses to support capital allocation discussions, fundraising activities, and investor relations efforts as requested by senior partners.
Maintain a detailed understanding of the underlying assets, including their economic profiles, risk factors, and interaction within the broader portfolio context.
Support the ongoing monitoring of portfolio health by tracking key financial and operational indicators against budgets, forecasts, and expectations.
Facilitate the compilation of investor presentations that clearly communicate fund strategy, performance, and value-add initiatives to diverse audience segments.
Requirements
Eligible candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience as a baseline for consideration.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, mathematics, or engineering is required.
Demonstrated experience in real estate, infrastructure, or alternative asset portfolio analysis, modeling, and reporting is mandatory.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a strong understanding of financial modeling techniques are essential.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in managing large data sets and complex financial information.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team across various functions and geographic locations.
Proficiency with data management and visualization tools to track and report on portfolio performance metrics.
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in a portfolio analysis, investment oversight, or financial reporting role within the real assets sector.
Experience working with diverse investment structures, including private equity, venture capital, and real estate or infrastructure funds.
Solid understanding of key performance metrics used to evaluate investment funds, such as TVPI, DPI, RVPI, and cash-on-cash returns.
Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights and support decision-making.
Strong project management skills with the capability to coordinate tasks, track progress, and document processes effectively.
Willingness to travel domestically for business purposes related to portfolio reviews, investor meetings, and on-site asset assessments as required.
Nice to have
Experience with real asset management platforms and portfolio management software is preferred.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations for real estate and infrastructure funds is a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of best practices in investor relations and the preparation of fund performance materials is desirable.
Experience supporting secondary market transactions or fund restructurings is a plus.
Practical notes
This role is based in Los Angeles, California, and requires in-office work.
Domestic travel may be required up to an average of 10-20% of time.
