Product Designer (UI-focused) - Mid to Senior

What you'll do

• Lead the design process for user interfaces across various digital platforms, ensuring a consistent and engaging user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective design solutions that meet business objectives.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs based on user insights.
• Develop and maintain a design system that promotes consistency and efficiency across all products.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UI design, applying this knowledge to enhance our products.
• Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and support to help them grow their skills and contribute to the team.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, articulating the value of design decisions and advocating for user-centered design principles.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure the accurate implementation of designs, addressing any challenges that arise during the development process.
• Analyze user engagement metrics to identify areas for improvement and inform future design iterations.
• Participate in design critiques, offering and receiving constructive feedback to elevate the overall quality of the team's work.
• Contribute to the overall product strategy by aligning design efforts with business goals and user needs.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices in UI design.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and functional designs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in UI design.
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing company is a plus.
• Understanding of branding and marketing principles as they relate to product design.
