ABOUT THE ROLE
Chartis is actively seeking a Consultant, Analytics & Insights, Revenue Cycle to join a dynamic team focused on transforming the healthcare landscape. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end analytical lifecycle for specific client engagements within the Revenue Cycle Transformation practice. You will serve as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, consulting leadership, and technical teams to ensure data integrity and analytical accuracy. This role demands a high level of ownership in translating ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches. You will be responsible for acquiring, wrangling, and analyzing complex healthcare data to uncover actionable insights that drive measurable client outcomes. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in mentoring internal teams on best practices for data utilization and interpretation. Ultimately, this position is foundational to delivering Chartis' mission of making US healthcare more affordable, accessible, safe, and human through rigorous analysis.
KEY FACTS
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Partner with client teams to define the specific scope and parameters of analytics needs for revenue cycle initiatives.
Acquire structured and unstructured data from client environments, ensuring proper handling and adherence to data governance protocols.
Execute first-pass data cleaning, transformation, and quality assurance processes, including deduplication and schema alignment.
Write efficient SQL scripts to extract, map, and prepare datasets necessary for advanced analysis and modeling.
Conduct deep exploratory analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes within revenue cycle workflows.
Develop and deploy stop-gap dashboards and ad-hoc reports using Power BI or Tableau to visualize findings for project teams.
Prepare concise and clear deliverables that communicate analytical insights to non-technical consulting staff and client executives.
Collaborate closely with Domain Data Engineers to translate business rules into scalable data build tools and extraction logic.
Provide hands-on coaching to consulting teams on the effective use of BI tools and the interpretation of complex analytical outputs.
Support the design and implementation of scalable analytic solutions that align with strategic client process improvement goals.
Solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine analysis and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Maintain a repository of SQL code and data mappings to promote reusability and efficiency across multiple client projects.
Act as a technical advocate for data quality, ensuring that insights derived are based on accurate and reliable information.
Contribute to the development of internal analytics assets and play a role in advancing the practice's knowledge base.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication to bridge gaps between technical and non-technical audiences.
REQUIREMENTS
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or technology-related field of study, such as Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or Informatics.
Hold a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant professional analytics experience, with at least 2 years specifically in a healthcare-related environment.
Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in SQL for querying, data extraction, transformation, and basic data modeling.
Show a proven track record of executing analytics using programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Spark, or PySpark.
Have experience deploying analytical work via notebook tools such as Jupyter or Zeppelin in a professional setting.
Exhibit deep familiarity with Business Intelligence tools, specifically Power BI and Tableau, for creating visualizations and reports.
Possess a strong understanding of healthcare operations, with a specific focus on revenue cycle workflows and financial processes.
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues, identify trends, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
Display the ability to manage and manipulate large datasets to derive meaningful insights that inform strategic decisions.
Show a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced, client-facing consulting environment.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Have a strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and consistency across all analytical deliverables.
Be prepared to travel domestically for client engagements as required, potentially up to 25% of the time.
NICE TO HAVE
Previous experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake is highly preferred.

This role may require travel to client sites, with an estimated domestic travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
