About the role
You will act as an engagement leader for complex treasury and commodity advisory mandates, directing the delivery of strategic solutions to CFOs and Group Treasurers. This role requires you to own end-to-end project lifecycles, from initial diagnostic assessments through to full implementation and value realization. You will build and manage long-term, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, positioning yourself as a indispensable strategic advisor. A core part of this role involves driving tangible business outcomes through liquidity optimization, financial risk management, and treasury transformation initiatives. You will leverage deep technical expertise to design operating models, optimize working capital, and implement robust governance frameworks. Furthermore, you will lead the delivery and quality review of all client deliverables, ensuring they meet the highest standards of excellence. You will also mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment that attracts and develops top-tier treasury professionals.

What you'll do
Lead client engagements as a trusted advisor to CFOs and Treasurers, providing strategic guidance on treasury strategy, transformation, and risk management.
Own the end-to-end delivery of treasury transformation programmes, encompassing operating model design, process optimization, and governance framework implementation.
Spearhead initiatives focused on cash management, liquidity optimization, and forecasting transformation to drive measurable financial outcomes.
Provide advisory and leadership on financial and commodity risk management, including the structuring of hedging strategies, trading frameworks, and internal controls.
Oversee the implementation of treasury technology platforms, payments infrastructure, and bank connectivity solutions such as Kyriba, SAP, and FIS.
Drive advisory on working capital optimization, including strategies for cash conversion cycle improvement, receivables and payables management, inventory funding, and in-house banking structures.
Lead complex treasury workstreams in strategic transactions, including M&A, carve-outs, IPO readiness, and post-merger integrations.
Conduct in-depth diagnostics and data analysis to inform decision-making, developing financial models and creating executive-level presentations.
Facilitate senior stakeholder workshops to define target-state solutions and co-create comprehensive transformation roadmaps.
Act as the primary day-to-day senior contact for clients, building enduring relationships and ensuring consistent delivery excellence.
Manage, mentor, and develop teams of Managers and Consultants, focusing on performance management, career development, and quality assurance.
Contribute to business development by supporting proposal creation, RFP responses, and client pitches to shape win strategies and solution positioning.
Collaborate with Partners and Directors to expand Cfgi's market presence and influence within the treasury and commodity advisory service lines.
Engage in go-to-market activities and market-facing discussions, synthesizing client insights and industry trends to inform the firm's strategic direction.
Champion the adoption of digital treasury, automation, and AI-enabled tools to drive efficiency and innovation in client programmes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices across all treasury and commodity advisory engagements.

Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree being strongly preferred.
Possess 10-12 years of cumulative experience within treasury, corporate finance, consulting, or banking environments.
Demonstrate strong experience and competence across multiple specialized areas, including cash and liquidity management, treasury transformation and operating model design, treasury technology, financial and commodity risk management, and working capital optimization.
Show a proven ability to understand and apply complex treasury processes, financial markets dynamics, and robust risk frameworks.
Have a documented history of leading client engagements, managing teams, and delivering complex programmes successfully.
Exhibit a high level of proficiency in leveraging AI tools and digital solutions to drive optimization and enhance client value.
Maintain excellent client relationship management skills, with a proven capacity to identify new business opportunities and grow existing engagements.
Communicate with precision and confidence, particularly when interacting with CFO and Treasurer-level stakeholders.
