About the role
The role centers on shaping and expanding the future of FP&A Advisory at Cfgi through direct client engagement and strategic vision. You will own the end to end delivery of complex finance transformation initiatives that align financial planning with overarching business strategy. You will leverage deep financial expertise to help clients navigate intricate challenges in an evolving marketplace. The position demands a hands on approach combined with the ability to inspire and lead cross functional project teams. What you'll do
Develop and execute go to market strategies that position Cfgi's FP&A Advisory services within key industry verticals and client segments.
Champion the growth of the FP&A Advisory practice by identifying new opportunities and establishing long term strategic client relationships.
Lead complex Business Transformation initiatives that synchronize finance operations with broader corporate strategy and future vision.
Perform diagnostic assessments of client business challenges, gaps, and needs to formulate tailored strategic recommendations using Cfgi capabilities.
Analyze sales and spending trends to manage financial risk, uncover insights, and define actionable opportunities for improvement.
Provide senior level business partnering to deliver high quality reports and analysis that empower data driven decision making.
Identify and engage in business development activities, including contributing to proposal development and solution design.
Monitor and interpret advancements in technology, digital innovation, the CFO ecosystem, and market dynamics to inform client strategies.
Evaluate and implement finance technologies, forecasting methodologies, and analytics platforms to enhance planning and decision support.
Champion project leadership by guiding requirement workshops, managing timelines, and ensuring successful client delivery.
Articulate compelling value propositions and business cases to facilitate finance transformation adoption across client organizations.
Manage concurrent internal firm objectives and external client demands to ensure alignment and timely execution of engagements.
Leverage extensive understanding of three statement financial modeling to support complex transaction and strategic planning scenarios.
Champion the application of advanced analytics, forecasting techniques, and financial technologies to solve client specific problems.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong preference for background in consulting or professional services environments. A proven ability to generate new business and expand existing client relationships is a non negotiable requirement for this position. Executive level communication skills are essential, including the capacity to influence senior leadership and navigate complex organizational change. An entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for exceptional client service, and a demonstrated commitment to building a high impact consulting practice are mandatory. You must have an advanced understanding of the FP&A function within a finance organization and how it drives strategic value. Extensive experience with three statement financials, including robust financial modeling and scenario analysis, is required. Significant engagement management experience, including people, practice, and business development development, is essential. The ability to simultaneously address internal firm standards and external client expectations under tight deadlines is required. Transactional experience in areas such as M and A, divestitures, refinancing, and capital raises, along with associated scenario modeling, is a strong advantage. Working knowledge of analytics, forecasting, and finance technologies related to process, planning analytics, and core Financial systems is mandatory. Familiarity with specific platforms such as Adaptive Workday, Planful, OneStream, Anaplan, Cognos, Oracle Hyperion, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Fusion, and similar tools is highly valued. A solid understanding of ERP technologies including SAP, Oracle, and Workday is a required capability. Demonstrated experience leading projects, leading project teams, and conducting key requirement workshops with clients is essential. The ability to clearly communicate with clients, document detailed requirements, and articulate the value proposition and business case for finance transformation solutions is a critical bar for success.
