Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead complex accounting initiatives and oversee end-to-end resolution of intricate financial reporting matters for clients across multiple sectors.
- Integrate with client senior management to analyze and solve sophisticated accounting issues while formulating and presenting proposed resolutions.
- Review work prepared by consultants during operational due diligence for complex transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, stock offerings, and debt raises.
- Conduct thorough reviews of consultants' deliverables related to financial and regulatory information in strict accordance with SEC and regulatory requirements, including 10K, 10Q, S-1, and S-4 filings.
- Coordinate closely with audit teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in audit processes and regulatory submissions.
- Perform research and documentation projects focused on emerging and evolving ASC accounting standards and their practical application.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and lead the implementation of changes that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client value.
- Lead and mentor teams of consultants, acting as a role model and providing creative solutions that elevate the overall consultant experience and performance.
- Participate actively in the firm's recruiting efforts by evaluating talent, conducting interviews, and contributing to the growth of high-performing teams.
- Build and strengthen client relationships through consistent communication, reliability, and deep domain expertise in finance and accounting advisory.
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking by identifying opportunities, proposing innovative solutions, and taking initiative in challenging situations.

Requirements
- Possess 5-8 years of cumulative experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, consulting, and/or corporate accounting/finance roles.
- Hold a minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 4 firm, specifically Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC.
- Apply U.S. GAAP through hands-on experience with financial statement preparation, audit engagements, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and technical accounting research.
- Lead engagement workstreams, supervise staff members, and manage project timelines and deliverables effectively and efficiently.
- Review detailed work product, provide clear guidance to junior team members, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients in professional settings.
- Apply advanced accounting and financial reporting knowledge to analyze and solve complex business and accounting challenges across diverse scenarios.
- Demonstrate strong ownership of deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory standards and client expectations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, adapting style and content to suit various audiences and purposes.

- Obtain or actively pursue CPA license or certification as a step toward meeting professional licensure requirements.

- Conduct technical accounting research, prepare detailed accounting memoranda, and apply authoritative guidance in complex areas such as revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, or stock-based compensation.
