About the role
The Finance Effectiveness Manager at Cfgi will own the end-to-end delivery of finance transformation engagements focused on enhancing finance strategy, optimizing processes, and enabling digital capabilities. You will serve as a key lead for workstreams that span finance operating model design, process improvement, and the implementation of enabling technologies such as ERP, EPM, and automation platforms. This role requires you to translate high-level strategic objectives into detailed, actionable plans while maintaining rigorous oversight of day-to-day execution in partnership with senior client stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing and articulating clear recommendations, roadmaps, and quantified value cases that demonstrate the impact of finance effectiveness initiatives. - Mentor analysts and associates by providing constructive feedback, technical guidance, and coaching to strengthen their capabilities.
- Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal development, client workshops, and internal capability building initiatives.
- Facilitate executive workshops, present recommendations, and act as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive initiatives related to ERP, EPM, automation, and digital finance that enhance core finance processes such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial close.
Requirements
- Bring 5 to 9 years of relevant experience in areas such as finance transformation, consulting, business transformation, finance, strategy, operations, or corporate finance.
- Demonstrate prior experience leading finance transformation engagements, including ERP and EPM implementations, business transformation, operational improvement, or related consulting projects.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience that provides a strong foundation in business, finance, or a related discipline.
- Possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to build effective relationships with both business and technical audiences.
- Show a proven ability to lead project workstreams, manage complex timelines and deliverables, and supervise consultants or cross-functional team members.
- Exhibit high-level organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while navigating competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities to address complex finance and operational challenges.
- Be an entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and dependable professional committed to delivering exceptional client service while actively developing junior team members.
- Have experience facilitating executive-level workshops, presenting recommendations, and serving as a trusted primary point of contact for client stakeholders.

- Have experience with major finance technologies such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Anaplan, Hyperion, or Power BI, depending on project needs.
- Demonstrate experience leveraging AI, automation, analytics, process mining, or other digital finance tools to optimize finance processes and business operations.
- Have a track record of supporting proposal development, business case creation, vendor assessments, organizational design, and finance transformation roadmaps.
