About the role
The role involves owning the end to end delivery of complex digital asset accounting advisory projects from initial scoping through final client presentation and follow up. You will act as the primary trusted advisor to executive stakeholders guiding them through difficult accounting challenges and regulatory expectations. You will drive the growth of the Digital Assets practice by identifying new service lines and market opportunities while maintaining high client satisfaction. You will be responsible for shaping the methodology and playbooks that define how digital asset engagements are executed within the firm. You will ensure that all deliverables are completed on time and meet the rigorous standards expected by clients and regulators. You will foster a collaborative environment where cross functional teams work seamlessly to solve client problems. You will contribute to the development of new service offerings that keep the practice at the forefront of the digital asset ecosystem.

What you'll do
Lead complex digital asset accounting advisory engagements covering audit readiness technical accounting finance transformation IPO readiness SEC reporting and transaction support.
Partner with CFOs Controllers Chief Accounting Officers executive leadership and external auditors to navigate complex digital asset accounting financial reporting and operational finance challenges.
Manage engagements involving crypto trading activity fragmented wallet and exchange data digital asset reconciliations accounting remediation and finance function transformation.
Guide clients in standing up finance functions rebuilding accounting records implementing scalable close and reporting processes and establishing audit ready documentation.
Oversee the delivery of financial and regulatory reporting deliverables including Forms 10 K 10 Q S 1 S 4 and related audit support activities.
Coordinate cross functional teams across finance operations technology legal tax and external audit to ensure successful client outcomes and alignment.
Drive process improvement initiatives and the implementation of scalable accounting reporting and internal control processes tailored to digital asset businesses.
Lead business development efforts through proposal leadership client expansion strategic account management networking thought leadership and market facing activities.
Mentor Senior Managers and Managers while contributing to recruiting performance management methodology development and overall practice growth in the digital asset sector.
Represent the firm at industry conferences client meetings and regulatory discussions to strengthen market presence and credibility.
Conduct detailed risk assessments and controls evaluations specific to digital asset custody transactions and treasury activities.
Develop and maintain deep expertise in digital asset reconciliation methodologies ensuring accurate valuation and compliance with accounting standards.
Support clients in preparing for and undergoing financial audits related to digital asset holdings and related party transactions.
Create clear executive level communications that translate complex accounting technical topics into actionable insights for leadership teams.
Champion the adoption of new technologies and data analytics tools to enhance the efficiency and reliability of digital asset financial reporting.
Requirements
You must have at least 10 years of professional experience in Big 4 audit accounting advisory capital markets advisory transaction advisory and or corporate accounting and finance roles.
You must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 4 firm specifically Deloitte EY KPMG or PwC in relevant advisory or audit capacities.
You must have demonstrated experience leading complex accounting advisory engagements that involve audit readiness technical accounting finance transformation IPO readiness SEC reporting and transaction support.
You must have a proven track record of serving as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders while successfully managing multiple client engagements within a consulting advisory or public accounting environment.
You must understand the unique accounting challenges presented by digital asset businesses including valuation liquidity and regulatory considerations.
You must be capable of advising clients on digital asset accounting crypto transaction accounting wallet and exchange reconciliations and accounting remediation.
You must have substantial experience leading SEC reporting engagements IPO readiness capital markets transactions audit coordination and public company financial reporting.
You must be proficient in applying U.S. GAAP SEC reporting requirements and technical accounting guidance related to complex transactions and emerging business models.
You must have hands on experience leading finance transformation initiatives accounting process improvements ERP implementations or operational accounting transformations.
You must have a strong history of building executive client relationships while driving business development proposal leadership strategic account management and practice growth.
You must have mentored Senior Managers and Managers contributing to recruiting performance management methodology development and leadership development programs.
You must have experience leading cross functional teams that span accounting finance operations technology tax legal and external audit to deliver cohesive client solutions.
You must be able to manage multiple high priority engagements simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
You must demonstrate strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
