About the role
You will define and own the end-to-end user experience for Ceartas AI-powered brand protection and copyright security products. You will partner with our Senior Product Designer, engineers, and global business stakeholders to shape the product vision and translate it into intuitive, engaging interfaces. You will champion a user-centered mindset across the product lifecycle, ensuring that every interaction reinforces trust and clarity for creators and enterprises. Your work will directly influence how users protect and monitor their digital assets on a global scale.

What you'll do
- Conduct user research and synthesize findings to define clear personas, user needs, and problem statements for brand protection workflows.
- Translate complex security and copyright requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for web and mobile platforms.
- Build and maintain a scalable design system in Figma, establishing reusable components, tokens, and guidelines that ensure consistency across all Ceartas products.
- Take full ownership of feature design from discovery through delivery, mapping edge cases, user touchpoints, and interaction details.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to support implementation, conducting design QA, and iterating based on technical constraints and feedback.
- Partner with business stakeholders to align design decisions with product goals, market demands, and compliance requirements for copyright and security.
- Facilitate design validation through usability testing, A/B concepts, and iterative refinements to improve conversion, comprehension, and user satisfaction.
- Apply interaction design, visual design, and prototyping skills to craft intuitive, accessible, and polished experiences across desktop and mobile.
- Contribute to UX architecture by developing journey maps, mind maps, and service blueprints that clarify complex workflows and stakeholder alignment.
- Leverage basic understanding of coding principles and technical feasibility to communicate effectively with engineering and reduce handoff friction.
- Document design decisions and rationale within the design system, ensuring clarity for current and future contributors.
- Explore opportunities to integrate AI and machine learning concepts into the user experience, enhancing automation and insight discovery for content protection.
- Advocate for the user within cross-functional discussions, ensuring that usability, accessibility, and brand integrity remain priorities in sprint planning.
- Support continuous improvement by monitoring design performance, gathering feedback, and proposing data-informed enhancements to the product experience.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
- Possess 2-3 years of professional UX/UI design experience focused on web and mobile applications, with a track record of shipped products.
- Show a strong grasp of UX design principles, including user flows, information architecture, interaction design, and usability best practices.
- Build clear and detailed prototypes in Figma, demonstrating proficiency in interaction design, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI creation.
- Present a portfolio of previous projects that highlight your contributions to designing engaging user experiences, including problem statements, process, and outcomes.
- Demonstrate familiarity with user research methods, such as interviews, usability testing, and analytics review, to inform design decisions.
- Communicate effectively with engineering teams, showing an understanding of development workflows, constraints, and implementation realities.
- Work comfortably within Agile and cross-functional team structures, collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and resolve design questions.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all design artifacts and implemented interfaces.
- Commit to inclusive design practices, considering accessibility, localization, and diverse user needs in your work.
- Have the right to work in Germany and reside in Berlin, with the ability to work onsite when required for team collaboration.
- Be fluent in English, both written and verbal, to enable clear communication with global stakeholders and remote teammates.
Nice to have
- Create custom illustrations and visual elements to enhance the UI and reinforce brand identity.
- Write HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to prototype interactive components and bridge design-develop gaps.
- Understand AI and machine learning concepts, explaining how these systems influence user workflows and security decisions.
- Bring prior experience in brand protection, copyright monitoring, or security-related digital products.
- Show strong problem-solving skills, taking initiative and ownership of complex design challenges.
- Apply motion design and animation to improve feedback, guidance, and engagement in the user interface.
- Contribute to the evolution of design operations, including documentation, versioning, and governance of the design system.
Practical notes
This is a full-time remote-capable role with flexibility for Berlin-based collaboration. We offer 25 days of paid leave annually, in addition to public holidays and your birthday. The position operates within standard working hours, with occasional synchronous collaboration across time zones. Candidates must have authorization to work in Germany and be able to work from Berlin as needed. No relocation support is provided.
