What you'll do

• Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic planning and operational decision-making across the organization.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses, to provide insights into business performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and understand financial implications of operational decisions.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to management to enhance financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate potential business opportunities and investments.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing strategies and business development initiatives.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data and processes.
• Identify areas for process improvement within financial operations and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact financial reporting and compliance.
• Provide training and support to junior analysts and other team members to foster a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role, preferably within a corporate environment.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software applications; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or CMA is highly desirable.
• Experience in the retail or convenience store industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of SQL or other database management systems for data extraction and analysis.
• Previous experience in a role involving budgeting and forecasting processes.
