About the role
You will join the Safe and Secure team to protect our facility, staff, and inventory. This role serves as the primary point of contact for visitors and vendors while managing site access and safety protocols. You will be responsible for monitoring and documenting all vehicle traffic entering and exiting the Inspection Center with a high level of vigilance. The position requires you to patrol the facility yard and buildings to identify and report any safety or security concerns that may arise during your shift. You will manage badge creation and conduct CCTV reviews in close partnership with management to ensure compliance and accuracy. As a certified first responder, you will provide first aid, CPR, and AED assistance to individuals in need on site. You will enforce incident response protocols and utilize strong communication skills to de-escalate conflicts in a professional manner. The role demands the use of the SAS App and RFID technology to accurately track inventory and control site access for authorized personnel.

What you'll do

- Escort vendors and visitors as required to ensure proper access while adhering to safety protocols.
- Document all security incidents and near-misses in detailed reports for review by management.
- Assist in the implementation of safety drills and training exercises to improve team readiness.
- Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring high-risk areas and observing for any suspicious behavior.
- Perform regular checks of emergency equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve security-related issues efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role that involved direct interaction with the public.
- Minimum 18 years of age as required by company policy and regulatory standards.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds independently without assistance or mechanical aids.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks like stretching, reaching, and walking in various environmental conditions.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Open availability for a schedule of Tuesday-Saturday (12pm-8:30pm) and Wednesday-Friday (2pm-10:30pm) consistently.
- Ability to pass a background check that includes screening for criminal history and other relevant criteria.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring future sponsorship.
- Willingness to comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
- Physical capability to perform emergency duties such as evacuation assistance when required by protocol.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous employment or service roles.
- Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Carvana.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and security threats in a dynamic operational environment.
