About the role
You will own the execution of safety and security routines across a portfolio of high-risk Carvana locations in your assigned geographical area. This role requires you to thrive in an environment of impactful change where team spirit drives innovation and big swings are part of the daily rhythm. You will troubleshoot scanning and inventory control concerns as they arise, directly supporting efforts to track and reduce unit loss due to missing units, forcible removals, or fraud-related activity. You will champion a culture of safety by executing initiatives relating to incident reduction and leading by example while ensuring engagement of field teams through various EH&S and Safety compliance activities. You will partner closely with the Inventory Control team to support execution of efforts relating to the identification and tracking of units taken "off lot" to ensure effective inventory controls are in place. You will execute the Incident Management Program, focusing on sustainable awareness and effective preparedness as a key supporter in emergency situations for sites. You will travel between sites according to risk level and on-site support needs in collaboration with the Area Manager, and you will be available to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.

What you'll do

- Troubleshoot scanning and inventory control concerns as they arise at all assigned locations, leading efforts to track and reduce unit loss due to missing units, forcible removals, or fraud-related activity.
- Execute the Incident Management Program with a focus on sustainable awareness and effective preparedness, acting as a key supporter in emergency situations for sites.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Control team to support execution of efforts related to the identification and tracking of units taken "off lot," ensuring effective inventory controls are in place.
- Execute fraud mitigation efforts to ensure adherence to downstream tactics and support overall unit loss reduction across the assigned area.
- Champion a culture of safety by executing initiatives relating to incident reduction and leading by example, ensuring engagement of field teams through various EH&S and Safety compliance activities.
- Provide day-to-day on-site support in primarily high-risk locations within the assigned geographical area, aligning with the Safe & Secure/Market Operations Partnership Guide.
- Partner with various Carvana teams to deliver strategic planning, operational risk program development, operational Safe & Secure processes, data analytics, inventory reconciliation and control, learning and awareness program support, and project management.
- Report directly to the Area Manager, Field Safe & Secure, translating insights into immediate, tangible impact within a disruptive and rapidly growing company.
- Leverage strong leadership, strong communication skills, quantitative rigor, and the ability to execute quickly and efficiently while exercising independent judgment.
- Support the mission to every associate at every site by working closely with teams and leaders in the assigned geographical area to support the safety of people and the protection of assets in a dynamic working environment.
Requirements
- You must be able to legally work in the United States without sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
- You must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
- You must be able to reliably commute to and from the work location in Fairfield, CT.
- You must have the right to work and live permanently in the United States for the duration of employment without the need for sponsorship.
