About the role
At Carvana, we are seeking Experienced Heavy Body Technicians to join our Autobody team. This is a skilled trade position where you will train other autobody technicians and perform extensive bodywork on multiple panels. The role focuses on advanced repair techniques using state-of-the-art tools in our high-tech Inspection Centers, including locations such as Heath, OH. What you'll do
- Execute heavy plastic welding and stapling procedures with accuracy and speed.
- Perform heavy metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding on vehicle structures.
- Conduct roof and rocker panel repair while maintaining alignment and structural integrity.
- Carry out large area, heavy bodywork tasks including comprehensive Bondo repair.
- Operate and maintain state of the art tools within high-tech Inspection Centers.
- Train other autobody technicians to elevate the overall skill level of the team.
- Collaborate with inspection and quality teams to ensure every vehicle meets stringent standards.
- Adapt workflows to meet urgent production demands while preserving safety protocols.
- Document procedures and outcomes to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the delivery of exceptional customer experience by ensuring timely vehicle readiness.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience as stipulated in the role description.
- Demonstrate the ability to train other autobody technicians effectively and consistently.
- Perform extensive bodywork on multiple panels including heavy plastic welding and metal pulling.
- Execute roof and rocker panel repair with attention to detail and structural soundness.

- Complete large area, heavy bodywork including Bondo repair to required specifications.
