What you'll do
- Execute detailed examinations of vehicle exteriors to pinpoint scratches, dings, and imperfections before and after finishing procedures.
- Implement precise vehicle preparation methods, including careful sanding, accurate masking, and secure taping to protect surfaces during repairs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling advanced automotive inspection tools and high-tech measurement equipment within the facility.
- Adapt to the demands of a fast-paced production line while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality protocols.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment, such as safety goggles, respiratory masks, protective gloves, and approved work garments.
- Follow standardized procedures for identifying defects and communicating necessary corrective actions to the reconditioning team.
- Utilize systematic checking routines to ensure every panel and surface meets the visual and tactile standards required for sale.
- Contribute to a clean and organized work area by following housekeeping guidelines to maintain safety and operational efficiency.
- Support the overall production goals by completing inspections in a timely manner without compromising accuracy.
- Act as a quality control checkpoint to prevent the progression of unfinished or improperly prepared vehicles in the workflow.
Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.
- You are required to possess a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and equipment.
- You must demonstrate the ability to safely lift up to 60 pounds independently during the course of your duties.
- You must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language to perform essential job functions.
- You must successfully pass a comprehensive background check as part of the hiring process.
- You must be willing to undergo a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) review to ensure compliance with company standards.
- You must be able to consistently follow detailed instructions and safety procedures without deviation.
- You must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job, including prolonged periods of standing and bending.
