- Supervise a team comprising at least five leads and up to 70 front-line associates, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to staff through comprehensive training programs, performance evaluations, and succession planning initiatives.
- Implement strategic objectives while closely monitoring production capacity and quality indicators to ensure efficiency.
- Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to all company policies and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
- Manage the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new team members, ensuring a smooth integration into the existing workforce.
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and addressing any production bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with various teams to guarantee that all vehicles successfully complete the rigorous 150-point inspection process prior to being sold.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making informed decisions to optimize workflow.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to communicate goals, share updates, and address any challenges faced by the team.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and maintain equipment in optimal working condition to support production efforts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communication across the organization.
- Monitor and report on team performance metrics, providing feedback and recognition to motivate staff and encourage high performance.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience in the automotive industry or within a lean manufacturing environment is essential.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this position.
- A valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years is required.
- Strong computer proficiency and the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, are necessary.
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as required by operational demands.
- Physical ability to walk up to three miles daily and remain on your feet for extended periods is essential.
- Capability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds and perform tasks that involve reaching, stretching, and pulling.
- Willingness to work in environments that may be noisy, wet, or exposed to fumes is a must.
