What you'll do
- Execute precise sanding and prepping procedures to create flawless surfaces for refinishing.
- Conduct comprehensive bumper removal and installation with attention to alignment and fastening integrity.
- Perform specialized minor plastic welding tasks to restore damaged components efficiently.
- Apply Bondo and complete small area body repairs to address imperfections in the vehicle panels.
- Operate within a production environment that may require adaptation to mandatory overtime schedules.
- Utilize advanced automotive body repair equipment to diagnose and correct structural and cosmetic issues.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards by wearing required safety gear at all times during operations.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality control metrics before vehicle release.
- Manage physical workload by lifting up to 60 pounds independently throughout the shift.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow and resolve process bottlenecks.
- Adjust workflows to handle varying weather conditions and ensure continuity of production standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to follow instructions and documentation.
- Support the inventory management goals of the Inspection Center through timely and accurate repairs.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience is mandatory for this position.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with employment regulations and safety protocols.
- Valid driver license is required to perform job functions and verify driving records.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently is essential for handling vehicle parts and equipment.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is necessary for understanding safety and procedural documents.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and wear required safety gear without compromise to safety standards.
- Successful completion of a background check is required prior to finalizing employment eligibility.
