About the role
Canva is seeking a Brand Media Manager dedicated to Southeast Asia to lead media strategy and execution across the region. This role sits within the marketing organization and focuses on planning and delivering campaigns that strengthen Canva's brand visibility among target audiences in SEA markets. The manager will take ownership of the media planning and buying process, ensuring that all campaigns are strategically aligned with regional business objectives. You will partner closely with local teams, creative departments, and regional stakeholders to drive brand awareness and engagement through well-executed media initiatives.

What you'll do
Plan and execute brand media campaigns across SEA markets to drive awareness and audience engagement.
Develop comprehensive media strategies that align with Canva's regional marketing goals and brand guidelines.
Collaborate with creative and content teams to produce media-ready assets tailored for each campaign.
Manage relationships with media vendors, publishers, and regional partners throughout the Southeast Asian market.
Analyze campaign performance data and provide actionable insights to optimize future media spending.
Coordinate with local teams in each SEA market to ensure cultural relevance and proper localization.
Oversee campaign timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure all targets are met on schedule.
Support the launch of new Canva products and features through targeted media activations and campaigns.
Monitor competitor media activities and broader market trends to inform ongoing strategic decisions.
Report on campaign results to leadership and recommend improvements for future media initiatives.
Align media campaigns with broader brand storytelling initiatives to create a cohesive and impactful presence across SEA.
Evaluate new media channels and formats to identify opportunities for growth and audience expansion in the region.
Requirements
Proven experience in brand media planning and buying, ideally within a digital marketing agency or in-house marketing team.
Strong understanding of media landscapes and advertising channels across Southeast Asian markets and regions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present strategies and results to diverse stakeholders clearly.
Experience managing budgets and allocating media spend effectively across multiple campaigns and geographic markets.
Proficiency in media planning tools and analytics platforms for tracking and reporting campaign performance.
Ability to work cross-functionally with creative, product, and regional marketing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail in managing campaign assets, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards consistently.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines consistently.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues independently.
Nice to have
Experience working with Canva or a similar design and creative technology company is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with multiple languages spoken across Southeast Asia markets is beneficial for this role.
Prior experience managing media campaigns in at least two SEA markets is preferred by the hiring team.
Knowledge of emerging media trends and platforms specific to the Southeast Asian region is valued.

Practical notes
This role is based in Makati, PH and requires on-site presence at the Canva office location.
The position reports to the regional marketing leadership team and involves close collaboration with global teams.
Candidates should be prepared to travel occasionally within the SEA region for meetings and events.
