About the role
The Regional Vice President I, Sales will own the strategic direction and execution of sales initiatives within a designated region, driving significant new business growth and expanding Butterfly's footprint. This role involves leading high-impact, enterprise-level engagements with C-suite stakeholders to uncover complex needs and shape transformational digital strategies. The hire will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle for large, strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market demands. They will leverage Butterfly's Ultrasound-on-Chip™ technology to position the company as a partner that enhances clinical, operational, and financial outcomes. The role requires consistent collaboration with cross-functional teams to refine sales strategies and capture whitespace opportunities. Success will be measured through revenue attainment, pipeline development, and long-term account expansion. The hire will also represent Butterfly at industry forums, contributing to the evolution of the company's market presence and sales playbook.

What you'll do
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals through a focused enterprise sales strategy.
- Lead high-impact, strategic selling efforts at the executive level, including direct engagement with C-suite stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Own the full sales cycle for large, complex opportunities within the region, with a focus on long-term, high-revenue strategic accounts.
- Develop and execute regional strategies that position Butterfly as a transformational partner in clinical, operational, and financial outcomes across health systems.
- Drive opportunity creation by identifying whitespace, uncovering multi-departmental needs, and shaping opportunities aligned to strategic organizational priorities.
- Build and nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and senior executives to accelerate enterprise adoption and expand strategic partnerships.
- Manage an accurate activity, pipeline, and forecast through Salesforce, adhering to our defined sales process. Ensure predictable and scalable revenue outcomes.
- Serve as the tip of the spear for market penetration, representing Butterfly in high-visibility conversations that shape customers' long-term digital transformation strategies.
- Ensure all sales activities align with the company's quality system requirements.
- Perform a broad range of tasks required to support strategic sales execution and regional growth.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the healthcare landscape and industry trends, providing valuable market insights to both customers and internal teams.
- Represent the company at key industry conferences and trade shows, strengthening our market presence and generating new leads.
- Contribute to the refinement of our sales playbook by documenting successful strategies and providing feedback to leadership on market needs and competitive intelligence.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the healthcare landscape and industry trends, providing valuable market insights to both customers and internal teams.
- Represent the company at key industry conferences and trade shows, strengthening our market presence and generating new leads.
- Contribute to the refinement of our sales playbook by documenting successful strategies and providing feedback to leadership on market needs and competitive intelligence.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise strategic sales, preferably with a strong track record of closing large, complex deals.
- Demonstrated success selling into health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and/or large enterprise healthcare organizations.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals in a consultative sales environment.
- Experience working with data-driven sales methodologies and CRM platforms, such as Salesforce.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and results orientation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly evolving startup environment.
- Willingness to travel regionally to support key accounts and industry events as needed.
- Adherence to company policies, quality standards, and compliance guidelines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and customer success.
- Demonstrated understanding of healthcare market dynamics, trends, and customer needs.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with integrity.
- Proven experience in quota-carrying roles with a history of achieving or exceeding targets.

- Prior experience in medical imaging, diagnostics, or digital health platforms.
- Familiarity with Ultrasound-on-Chip™ technology or point-of-care ultrasound applications.
- Background in software-as-a-medical-device (SaMD) environments.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives in healthcare.
- Knowledge of value-based care models and reimbursement strategies.
- Track record of building strategic partnerships with academic or research institutions.
