About the role
You will own the strategic direction and execution of the Agency Broker of Record and Point Solution sales motions within assigned enterprise accounts. This role requires you to act as a trusted advisor to both internal sales teams and external clients, articulating the distinct value of Businessolver's technology and Pinnacle Partner ecosystem. You will be responsible for translating complex benefits strategies into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with large, sophisticated clients. A core part of this position involves fostering deep collaboration with carriers, brokers, and consultants to align on shared client objectives. You will leverage your expertise to identify new lines of coverage and expand existing relationships within the voluntary benefits marketplace. Success in this position is defined by your ability to drive measurable growth and secure long-term partnerships that deliver client delight. You will be expected to mentor junior team members on best practices for enrollment and year-round engagement. Ultimately, you will be the primary strategic partner guiding clients through their benefits transformation journey.

What you'll do
Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective and existing clients to evaluate their current benefits configurations and identify opportunities for optimization.
Develop and implement account-specific strategies for placing Voluntary Benefits coverage that align with client workforce demographics and financial goals.
Collaborate closely with the BOR channel management team to ensure brokers fully comprehend the advantages of our Pinnacle Partnerships and how they translate to client value.
Analyze complex insurance data sets to support recommendation frameworks and demonstrate the financial impact of proposed benefits strategies.
Articulate the integration between our technology suite and carrier relationships to showcase a seamless end-to-end member experience.
Identify and qualify new enterprise-level opportunities by engaging with carrier stakeholders and third-party consultant networks.
Build comprehensive presentations that communicate the return on investment for Businessolver's solutions in large, multi-line insurance programs.
Organize and oversee complex project timelines involving multiple internal stakeholders and external vendor partners.
Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and market trends impacting voluntary benefits design and funding strategies.
Travel to client sites and carrier offices as necessary to facilitate workshops, strategic reviews, and partnership development meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree is mandatory for consideration in this role.
Possess 7+ years of cumulative work experience specifically in voluntary benefits insurance or within a brokerage environment.
Demonstrate a proven track record of closing large-scale opportunities across diverse industry verticals and client cultures.
Have direct experience in account management for core employee benefit offerings and lifecycle events.
Show demonstrated expertise in employer health and wellbeing strategies along with current market solution landscapes.
Hold Life, Health & Accident licenses as a strict requirement, or obtain them within 90 days of starting employment, with annual renewals thereafter.
Preference for candidates holding professional benefit designations such as CPCU or similar credentials.
Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to interpret policy data, pricing structures, and actuarial reports for client discussions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required, along with the ability to rapidly master new business applications.
Show a proven ability to design and deliver high-stakes presentations to executive-level audiences.
Possess exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust with C-suite leaders and cross-functional decision makers.
Display the ability to travel up to 30% of the time to support client needs and partner meetings.
Have a documented history of relationship building and maintaining strategic partnerships over extended periods.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without losing attention to detail.
Express a genuine desire to develop and refine the organizational structure of the sales and consulting teams you will be working with.
Nice to have
Preferred experience working directly with Insurance Carriers and understanding of their sales cycles and commission structures.
Knowledge of SaaS platforms and how technology enables better benefits administration and member engagement.
Experience in consultative selling methodologies within the enterprise space.
