What you'll do
- Develop and execute a multi-quarter product strategy that aligns with Brex's business objectives and drives tangible outcomes.
- Lead large-scale initiatives that involve multiple internal teams and complex technical systems, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to oversee architectural design, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and ensure the successful implementation of product features.
- Establish clear success metrics and ensure that teams meet measurable objectives, providing regular progress updates and recommendations for improvement.
- Guide decision-making processes in ambiguous situations, balancing speed with analytical rigor to ensure that business objectives are met.
- Present data-backed recommendations and written narratives to senior leadership and executives, effectively communicating complex product strategies and technical concepts.
- Mentor other product managers to improve overall product craft and execution standards, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Develop specialized knowledge in areas such as financial infrastructure, risk systems, growth, or payables, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Experience: 7 to 10 plus years of product management experience, ideally within fintech or high-growth B2B sectors.
- Success: Demonstrated success in building platform or financial infrastructure products, with a proven track record of driving business growth and revenue.
- Strategy: Ability to define strategies that result in tangible business outcomes, with a strong understanding of product-market fit and competitive landscapes.
- Technical fluency: Strong technical fluency, including familiarity with APIs, data models, and system architecture.
- Data analysis: Proficiency in using SQL or similar tools for data analysis, metric definition, and experimentation.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management, with the ability to effectively communicate complex product strategies and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Systems understanding: Ability to understand the intersection of product, technical, operational, compliance, and revenue systems, with a strong understanding of the complex relationships between these systems.
Nice to have
- Experience: Experience building platform or financial infrastructure products is strongly preferred, with a proven track record of driving business growth and revenue.
- Technical expertise: Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or GCP, and experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes.
- Data science: Experience with data science tools and techniques, such as machine learning and data visualization, with a strong understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling.
- Cloud security: Familiarity with cloud security best practices and experience with cloud-based security tools, such as AWS IAM and GCP Cloud Identity and Access Management.

- SQL: Proficiency in using SQL or similar tools for data analysis, metric definition, and experimentation.
- Product strategy: Ability to define strategies that result in tangible business outcomes, with a strong understanding of product-market fit and competitive landscapes.
- Technical system architecture: Strong technical fluency, including familiarity with APIs, data models, and system architecture.
- Data modeling: Ability to design and implement data models that meet business requirements and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Experimentation frameworks: Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, such as A/B testing and multivariate testing, with a strong understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling.
Practical notes
- Salary range: $240,000 to $300,000, depending on location, skills, and market factors.
- Total
compensation: Total compensation includes equity and additional benefits, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) matching and paid time off.
