What you'll do
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy designed to capture mid-market accounts across diverse industries and sectors.
Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at prospective and existing client organizations.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through proactive outreach, research, and strategic networking within target markets.
Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to craft compelling, tailored value propositions for each client segment.
Manage a full sales pipeline of prospective clients, guiding each opportunity from initial discovery through successful close.
Conduct in-depth market and competitive research to uncover emerging trends and inform effective, data-driven sales approaches.
Deliver polished product demonstrations and detailed proposals to prospective clients in both virtual and in-person settings.
Negotiate contract terms and pricing structures while working toward mutually beneficial agreements that satisfy both parties.
Track, analyze, and report on key sales metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
Partner with account managers and customer success teams to ensure long-term client satisfaction and ongoing retention.
Represent Brex at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand the company's professional reach.
Provide detailed feedback and market insights to product and engineering teams based on direct client interactions.
Requirements
Demonstrated history of success in B2B sales, with preferred experience in the fintech or SaaS industry specifically.
Solid understanding of mid-market business models, including common pain points, buying cycles, and decision-making processes.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear manner.
Hands-on experience managing a robust pipeline of prospects and consistently closing deals in a competitive environment.
Strong sense of self-direction and the ability to take ownership of assigned accounts and defined territories.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a business, finance, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
High level of comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic setting where priorities shift quickly and frequently.
Meticulous organizational skills and a disciplined approach to managing multiple client accounts simultaneously and effectively.
