What you'll do
- Architect and deploy LAN, WAN, wireless, and security solutions across our global enterprise network infrastructure.
- Manage network projects from initial requirements gathering through final implementation and operational handoff to support teams.
- Configure and maintain Juniper SRX firewall platforms and EX switching infrastructure to meet enterprise security and performance standards.
- Design enterprise WiFi environments, including conducting site surveys and performing RF planning to optimize coverage and capacity.
- Use Elasticsearch for SNMP telemetry collection, analysis, and performance monitoring of network devices.
- Implement automation strategies to reduce manual configuration tasks and improve operational efficiency across network workflows.
- Manage vendor relationships and technology procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of network solutions and services.
- Travel to global sites to support infrastructure builds, upgrades, and major deployment activities as required.
- Conduct root cause analysis for complex network issues and lead post-mortem reviews to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide high-level technical support for the global IT Service Desk on network-related issues and escalations.
Requirements
- Possess 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise network engineering roles with demonstrated history in complex environments.
- Demonstrate proficiency with routing protocols, subnetting methodologies, VLAN implementations, VPN technologies, load balancing solutions, traffic shaping techniques, IDS/IPS systems, and 802.1x authentication frameworks.
- Show expertise in configuring and managing Juniper SRX firewall platforms and EX switching infrastructure in production environments.
- Maintain background in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise WiFi networks including current standards and best practices.
- Prove project management skills within a formal change management process with documented experience handling network infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrate experience managing external vendors and third-party providers for network services and equipment.
- Exhibit ability to physically lift 40 lbs during installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting activities in data center or office environments.
- Show willingness to travel internationally on an as-needed basis to support global network infrastructure initiatives.
- Display strong understanding of network security principles and implementation of security best practices in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment with distributed collaboration across multiple locations.
- Show commitment to following established network documentation standards and maintaining accurate infrastructure records.
- Demonstrate analytical skills for troubleshooting complex network issues using various monitoring tools and techniques.
Nice to have
- Experience with Ruckus wireless systems including controller and access point management.
- Familiarity with Okta, Active Directory, and RADIUS authentication frameworks and integration scenarios.
- Experience with ZScaler or similar cloud security platforms for network traffic inspection and control.
- Proficiency with Elasticsearch for data visualization, alerting, and performance metric analysis.
