About the role
Braze is on the lookout for a Commercial Account Executive to spearhead new business development efforts within the Japanese market. In this role, you will take charge of the entire sales process, from prospecting potential clients to closing deals. You will collaborate closely with the Business Development Representative (BDR) team to identify opportunities and convert leads into loyal customers. This position is pivotal in enhancing Braze's brand presence in Japan and involves crafting and implementing effective go-to-market strategies.

What you'll do
- Identify and target new business prospects using a value-driven sales approach, managing the entire sales cycle from initial outreach to final contract execution.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of target accounts, analyze market dynamics, and create sales strategies specifically designed for the Japanese market.
- Cultivate long-lasting relationships with clients by thoroughly understanding their requirements and establishing trust.
- Work collaboratively with various departments, including marketing, presales, and customer success, to ensure a cohesive team effort.
- Monitor sales activities, evaluate outcomes, and prepare regular reports that include strategic recommendations for adjustments.
- Conduct presentations and demonstrations tailored to potential clients, showcasing the value of Braze's solutions.
- Participate in networking events and industry conferences to promote Braze and expand your professional network.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to effectively position Braze's offerings in the market.
- Utilize data analytics to assess sales performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements
- A minimum of three years of experience in SaaS sales, employing a value-based selling methodology, with experience in either Japanese or international firms being acceptable.
- Proven track record of planning backward from sales objectives and consistently executing necessary activities with a strong focus on achieving targets.
- Proficient in using CRM systems, such as Salesforce.com or similar platforms, to manage sales pipelines effectively.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities for engaging with stakeholders and clients.
- Quick adaptability to new cloud applications and tools, demonstrating a willingness to learn.
- A commitment to personal and professional growth, including traits such as autonomy, coachability, collaboration, and openness to diverse perspectives.
