Bravebison is seeking a skilled Technical SEO Contractor to join our dynamic team in London. This role is essential for enhancing our clients' online visibility and ensuring their websites are optimized for search engines. As a contractor, you will work on a fixed-term basis, contributing your expertise to improve technical aspects of SEO across various projects. You will collaborate closely with our digital marketing team to implement strategies that drive organic traffic and improve search rankings.

What you'll do

• Conduct comprehensive technical audits of client websites to identify areas for improvement in SEO performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance website architecture, ensuring optimal crawlability and indexability by search engines.
• Collaborate with web developers to address technical SEO issues, including site speed, mobile optimization, and structured data implementation.
• Analyze website performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO software to track progress and identify opportunities.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of SEO processes, strategies, and results for internal and client reporting.
• Stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure our strategies remain effective and competitive.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on technical SEO principles and practices to foster a culture of SEO awareness within the organization.
• Work with content teams to ensure that on-page SEO elements such as meta tags, headings, and content structure align with best practices and client goals.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate SEO strategies into broader digital marketing campaigns, enhancing overall effectiveness.
• Assist in the development of SEO-focused content strategies that align with client objectives and target audience needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the implementation of SEO strategies.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for clients, showcasing the impact of technical SEO initiatives on their website performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical SEO, with at least 3 years of relevant work in the field.
• Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors, as well as experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to communicate effectively with web developers.
• Familiarity with website analytics tools, particularly Google Analytics and Google Search Console, to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Shopify.
• Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and practices.
• Familiarity with local SEO strategies and techniques.
• Experience in conducting A/B testing and other optimization experiments.
