A founding Sales Engineer is brought onto the platform to own the technical side of revenue generation across all trade verticals. This role shapes customer engagement through discovery, demonstrations, proof of value, and deal closure.
Software engineers turn product ideas into working code. Engineers work in small teams, review each other's work, and ship in small batches. Most teams follow agile practices such as sprints and daily standups. Engineers also write tests, fix bugs, and improve performance. The field values clear communication as much as technical skill. Engineers spend part of every week on planning, code review, and debugging, not just writing new code. The ability to explain a technical decision in plain words separates strong engineers from the rest.

Requirements
Candidates bring 2-4 years of experience in customer-facing, technical roles such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting. Candidates learn quickly and become fluent across multiple trade verticals while gaining product fluency in fast-paced, ambiguous settings. Candidates present confidently to customers, whiteboard concepts, demonstrate solutions, and handle objections live with clarity. Every action is driven by a sales-minded focus on closing deals and growing revenue. Comfort with undefined priorities and evolving processes is required where playbooks are still being defined. Collaboration happens effectively with AEs, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering. Prior experience at an early-stage startup strongly supports success in this role. Exposure to construction, trades, or adjacent industries is a strong advantage for understanding workflow contexts.
