About the role
Bluehole Studio is on the lookout for an experienced Art Project Manager with a minimum of two years in the field to join our dynamic team. This position is crucial for overseeing the art production of an exciting new shooter project based on the PUBG intellectual property. You will be responsible for fostering collaboration between our internal teams and external partners, while also managing the art outsourcing process to ensure smooth operations and effective communication throughout the art pipeline.

What you'll do
- Promote seamless collaboration between art teams located in Korea and North America, as well as with external collaborators.
- Oversee the complete art outsourcing process, which includes selecting vendors, drafting Statements of Work (SOW), scheduling, quality assurance, and managing payments.
- Engage with artists effectively, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of the game art production pipeline to facilitate communication.
- Employ tools such as Jira and Confluence to track progress and quality, enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that all art deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time by managing schedules and scopes effectively.
- Act as a liaison between various stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned on project goals and timelines.
- Conduct regular reviews of art assets to ensure they align with the project's vision and standards.
- Facilitate problem-solving sessions to address any challenges that arise during the art production process.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience in project management or production oversight, specifically within the gaming or content creation sectors.
- Strong understanding of game art production processes, including concept art, 3D modeling, animation, and visual effects, with the ability to communicate effectively with artists.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating efforts between internal art teams and external studios to achieve project objectives.
- Proven track record of managing project schedules, scopes, and quality assurance to ensure timely deliverables.
- Proficiency in business-level English, both spoken and written, to facilitate clear communication with international teams.
- Excellent communication skills to engage logically and effectively with various stakeholders.
- No restrictions on international travel, allowing for flexibility in collaboration with global partners.
Nice to have
- A discerning eye for evaluating art quality and providing constructive feedback.
- Experience in designing or implementing collaboration frameworks for global art teams, especially those connecting Korea and North America.
- Practical knowledge of outsourcing collaboration or contract management with international studios and vendors.
- Familiarity with outsourcing contract frameworks such as Master Service Agreements (MSA) and Statements of Work (SOW), along with an understanding of overseas tax and intellectual property processes.
- Experience in creating new collaboration structures, pipelines, or processes to enhance efficiency.
- Proficiency in Chinese at a business level for both verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of art production pipelines for large-scale projects utilizing Unreal Engine 5.
- Involvement in the development lifecycle of AAA PC/Console games from inception to launch and ongoing service.
- Experience in designing workflows and visualizing project progress using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with enhancing project management efficiency through AI tools for document automation and progress tracking.
- Experience working asynchronously with global teams across varying time zones.
