What you'll do
Define and execute the product strategy for reaction wheel components at Bamboohr
Partner with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into detailed product specifications and development plans
Own the product roadmap and prioritize features based on market demand and technical feasibility
Lead cross-functional coordination between design, manufacturing, and quality assurance for reaction wheel products
Gather and incorporate customer feedback to drive continuous improvement of reaction wheel performance
Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to inform product positioning and differentiation
Manage the product lifecycle from initial concept through production, support, and end-of-life planning
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies for reaction wheel offerings
Establish key performance indicators and track product metrics to measure success and identify growth areas
Present product updates and strategic recommendations to leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis
Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure component availability and manufacturing readiness
Drive product improvement initiatives based on field data and reliability analysis of reaction wheel systems
Coordinate with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure reaction wheel products meet all applicable standards
Support the sales team by providing technical product knowledge and competitive positioning insights
Requirements
Experience in product management with a focus on hardware or electromechanical components
Understanding of reaction wheel technology and its applications in spacecraft and precision motion systems
Strong ability to translate technical requirements into clear product strategies and actionable plans
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams through complete product development cycles
Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
Experience managing product roadmaps and prioritizing features in a fast-paced development environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering or a closely related field
Familiarity with aerospace or defense industry standards and relevant regulatory considerations
Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure product quality
Demonstrated success in managing product launches from prototype through volume production

Experience with reaction wheels or similar precision actuator technologies in a product management setting
Background in spacecraft subsystems or satellite component manufacturing, integration, and testing
Knowledge of control systems and motion control principles for precision engineering applications
Prior experience working in Boulder, Colorado or in the broader aerospace and defense corridor
