About the role

As a Project Support Manager at Bamboohr, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects in the industrial coating and surface preparation sector. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and support various project activities, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders, while also managing multiple tasks simultaneously. You will be based in Geismar, Louisiana, and will work closely with project managers and other departments to facilitate project success.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any potential issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Coordinate project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to ensure timely delivery and execution of tasks.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and status updates, to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Facilitate communication among team members, ensuring that everyone is informed of project developments and changes.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids, contributing to the growth of the company's project portfolio.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and enhance overall project success.
• Support the development and implementation of project management best practices and methodologies within the organization.
• Participate in project review meetings, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Train and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout all project phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project support or management, preferably in the industrial or construction sectors.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar applications.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the industrial sector.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management in a project context.
• Knowledge of industrial coating and surface preparation processes.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Previous experience in a client-facing role, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to track project performance metrics.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
• Familiarity with CRM systems for managing client interactions and project tracking.

• This position is based in Geismar, Louisiana, and may require occasional travel to project sites.
