What you'll do

• Lead the quality control efforts on-site, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies throughout all phases of project execution.
• Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and product reliability.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of materials, processes, and finished products to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to communicate quality expectations and resolve any issues that arise during construction.
• Train and mentor team members on quality control practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Analyze quality data and prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Coordinate with external regulatory bodies and clients to ensure that all quality standards are met and maintained.
• Manage the documentation of quality control processes, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
• Participate in project planning meetings to provide insights on quality-related risks and mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.
• Facilitate root cause analysis for quality failures and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the mechanical engineering sector.
• Proven experience in managing quality control processes on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and relevant industry standards (ISO, ASME, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in using quality control tools and software, including statistical analysis software and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and engineering environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Nice to have

• Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) is a plus.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a quality control department.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components relevant to the industry.
