What you'll do
- Develop and implement comprehensive QAQC policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead the QAQC team in conducting regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on quality control processes and best practices to enhance overall team performance.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality performance, including findings from audits and inspections, and present them to senior management.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that their products and services meet Bkimechanical's quality expectations.
- Participate in project planning meetings to provide input on quality considerations and risk assessments.
- Oversee the development of quality documentation, including quality plans, inspection and test plans, and quality records.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation is maintained and accessible for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Foster a culture of quality within the organization by promoting awareness and accountability among all employees.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality management practices to continuously enhance the QAQC program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, preferably within the mechanical or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in conducting audits and inspections, with a solid understanding of quality control methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring a team.
Nice to have
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ Certified Quality Manager).
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
- Previous experience in a managerial role within a QAQC department.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to mechanical engineering.
