What you'll do

• Oversee daily field operations, ensuring that all activities are executed according to project plans and timelines.
• Coordinate with project managers and field teams to allocate resources effectively and address any operational challenges.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Conduct site visits to assess work quality and compliance with safety regulations, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of field activities, including labor hours, materials used, and equipment status.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets, providing input based on field observations and experiences.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in field coordination or a related role within the construction or service industry.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and field operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using project management software and tools to track progress and manage resources.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical fields is a plus.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or related fields.
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
• Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, can be advantageous for communication with diverse teams.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, or similar).
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with construction management software and tools is beneficial.

Practical notes

• This position is based in Ewing, New Jersey, and may require occasional travel to job sites within the region.
• The role may involve working in various weather conditions and physical environments typical of construction sites.
• Candidates must be able to lift and carry equipment as needed and be comfortable working in a hands-on capacity when required.
