What you'll do

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, environmental specialists, and construction personnel, to develop comprehensive project plans.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate project viability and identify potential challenges.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
• Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain timelines and budgets.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all phases of project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role within the infrastructure sector.
• Proficiency in engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, with experience in delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with local regulations and standards related to civil engineering and construction practices in British Columbia.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex engineering challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in British Columbia.
• Experience with sustainable design practices and environmental assessments.
• Knowledge of construction management practices and contract administration.
• Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data analysis tools.
• Previous experience in client-facing roles, enhancing client relationships and project delivery.
