What you'll do

The effectiveness of compliance processes is evaluated to maintain high standards across jurisdictions. Tax guidance is formulated for commercial agreements and transaction documentation, focusing on structure and risk. Support is provided for launching new products and services to align with regional tax rules. Interactions with tax authorities are managed, covering responses, audits, disputes, and litigation when relevant. Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Law, Accounting, Economics or Taxation is mandatory. At least 12 years of professional experience, ideally gained in a Big 4 or in-house setting, is required. A record of leading tax functions in the Asia Pacific with an emphasis on operations and compliance is expected. Rapid learning能力 and adaptation to a fast-moving work context are necessary. Autonomous performance and consistent results are required in a remote work model. A hands-on contribution and proven achievement within team-based settings are essential.
Practical notes
The role is remote with a flexible work-from-home arrangement that may change based on operational needs. Equal opportunity is guaranteed for every applicant. Typical interview steps
Finance interviews usually include technical questions on accounting or modeling, a case study, and behavioral rounds. Candidates may be asked to build a forecast or explain a variance. Spreadsheet skills are tested in most loops. Accuracy and clear explanations matter. Interviewers may give a real dataset and ask for a quick analysis. Showing your work and explaining assumptions matters as much as the final number.
Good to know

Collaboration across functions helps translate tax changes into operational actions. Professionals in this space use specialized research tools and scenario models to manage risk. Ongoing learning keeps practices aligned with market and regulatory developments.
Questions to ask
Worth asking in any interview: how the team measures success, who the role works with daily, what the onboarding looks like, and what the company is trying to achieve this year. Asking what past hires did well is a strong final question. Keep the list short and pick the questions that matter most to you.
