Binance Accelerator Program
Job description
About the role
You will architect and execute performance validation frameworks that underpin the reliability of Binance's global trading infrastructure. You will partner with data scientists to instrument AI models that predict system behavior before deployment. You will own the definition of performance baselines for critical trading and settlement pathways. You will translate abstract scalability requirements into concrete test scenarios across hybrid cloud environments. You will establish monitoring narratives that turn raw metrics into actionable engineering insights. You will mentor junior engineers on performance debugging methodologies and collaborative problem solving. You will represent the Performance Engineering Team in cross-functional initiatives that define product quality standards. You will contribute to open source tooling that advances the state of performance testing in blockchain systems.
Key facts
What you'll do
Design and implement synthetic workloads that simulate peak market conditions across multiple geographic regions.
Develop automated test pipelines that integrate performance gates into continuous integration workflows for Binance products.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure performance experiments adhere to data protection and regulatory constraints.
Construct dashboards that correlate infrastructure telemetry with user experience metrics for trading applications.
Execute performance regression analyses for new feature rollouts using controlled experiments and shadow traffic.
Document methodologies and standard procedures to ensure reproducibility and knowledge transfer across teams.
Analyze large scale performance datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for system optimization.
Coordinate with infrastructure vendors to validate hardware configurations against expected workload profiles.
Support the creation of post mortem narratives that root cause performance incidents and propose preventive actions.
Champion the adoption of performance engineering best practices through brown bag sessions and internal workshops.
Partner with product managers to align performance objectives with business outcomes and customer expectations.
Lead proof of concept projects that evaluate new performance tools and frameworks for potential integration into production.
Mentor interns and new joiners on performance testing fundamentals and debugging techniques through structured sessions.
Drive initiatives to standardize performance definitions and metrics across engineering organizations in the ecosystem.
Requirements
You must be currently enrolled in a degree program or have graduated within the last 12 months from a recognized university.
You must possess a strong foundational understanding of computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
You must have hands on experience with at least one programming language commonly used in performance engineering such as Python, Go, or Java.
You must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret technical documentation and specifications without ambiguity.
You must have a proven track record of solving complex problems under time constraints in a collaborative setting.
You must show commitment to learning new technologies and adapting to rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
You must have effective written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
You must be able to work within the time zone constraints of Asia based teams and participate in overlapping working hours as required.
Nice to have
Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration tools is preferred but not required.
Background in blockchain systems or distributed ledger technologies is a plus if you are passionate about the space.
Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and observability platforms is valued.
Participation in open source projects or personal initiatives that demonstrate technical curiosity is encouraged.
