Consulting director
Job description
About the role
Consulting Director, Professional Services
Bigblue operates at the center of the e-commerce surge, yet many independent brands struggle to achieve the fluid, reliable logistics provided by large marketplace platforms. Our response is a structured advisory capability designed to help merchants convert fulfillment into a strategic asset. Since 2018, Bigblue has built a tech-driven logistics platform that serves more than 500 brands, including MUJI, Aigle, and Cabaïa. Our proprietary WMS, Atlas, and a network of 8 warehouses across Europe, are backed by $20M+ in funding and a team of 110+ employees located in Paris, Madrid, and London. This foundation supports 10 million orders processed in 2024 and positions us for enterprise expansion.
We are launching a Professional Services program to close the guidance gap that merchants currently experience. The Consulting Director will create and lead this function, providing structured, high-impact advice on logistics, transport, and commerce operations. Success in this role requires equal parts commercial acumen and operational discipline, translating complex challenges into clear, executable pathways for growth.
Position Overview
The Consulting Director reports directly to the co-CEOs and is responsible for designing, launching, and scaling Bigblue's advisory services. This role defines the service portfolio, pricing structures, and delivery frameworks. You will sell and, where appropriate, provide operational consulting, working closely with logistics, transport, and support functions. The position balances repeatable service models with bespoke solutions, ensuring practical outcomes for each merchant. You will own the knowledge generated by this work, using insights to inform training, product development, and corporate strategy.
This is a cross-functional leadership position with significant visibility across sales, merchants, product, operations, and executive leadership. You will shape how clients experience Bigblue's ambition while ensuring that Professional Services contribute directly to profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
You will architect the roadmap for advisory services, defining scope, boundaries, and the sequence of offerings delivered to clients. This includes designing intake workflows that capture essential merchant context and aligning expectations before any solution is developed. You will construct structured guidance packages that convert logistics complexity into clear, immediate actions for brands.
A core part of the role involves reviewing performance data from each engagement. You will refine advice based on results, ensuring that every project improves the quality of the next. You will ship operational frameworks that integrate cleanly with Bigblue's platform capabilities, turning recommendations into tangible outcomes. Collaboration with commercial teams will focus on positioning, pricing, and client expectations, while cross-functional coordination connects sales, product, support, and operations around shared objectives.
You will manage both standardized onboarding packages and highly customized migration projects, moving smoothly between industrialized delivery and tailored solutions. Validating the economics of advisory work is essential, including tracking utilization, profitability, and the long-term value of client relationships. Every engagement will be documented, producing guides that train new team members and refine our product strategy.
Required Qualifications
You must bring three to five years of experience leading advisory or consulting initiatives within logistics or commerce. Your expertise should include deep familiarity with transport operations, warehouse management, and customer support processes. You must understand demand planning and delivery optimization well enough to question existing assumptions and identify new opportunities.
Clear communication with executives is essential. You will translate complex logistical and commercial topics into actionable recommendations that senior leaders can act on immediately. Experience coordinating across multiple functions is required, as you will align diverse teams toward common outcomes.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Experience working with brands comparable to MUJI, Aigle, and Cabaïa is beneficial, as it provides direct insight into their specific operational needs and expectations. No specific tools or technical skills are outlined in the source material, but a high level of proficiency in consulting methods and logistics platforms is expected.
Compensation and Work Details
The position is full-time and based in Paris. The compensation for 2025 is set at 150,000 euros. You will play a central role in building a function that influences product direction, strengthens merchant relationships, and establishes a scalable model for advisory services within the company.
