You will exercise complete autonomy in clinical decisions while adhering to professional standards and platform policies. You will directly manage your caseload, balancing insurance and private clients to optimize both impact and income. You will build a sustainable practice by leveraging platform tools designed to reduce non-clinical workload. You will contribute to a large, distributed community of professionals, learning from peers while maintaining your unique therapeutic style. You will uphold the integrity of the service by strictly following intake procedures and documentation requirements. You will actively engage with continuous learning opportunities to refine skills and stay current in the field. You will play a key role in maintaining the high standard of care that defines the BetterHelp platform.

What you'll do
Conduct in-depth clinical assessments for new clients using established intake protocols.
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the goals of adults, couples, and teens.
Schedule and manage session calendars to maximize caseload efficiency and provider availability.
Maintain detailed, secure, and confidential clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits to facilitate smooth claims submission and reimbursement.
Collaborate with clients to develop treatment plans that are measurable, client-centered, and culturally responsive.
Utilize platform technology to manage messaging, file sharing, and session notes within secure systems.
Monitor client progress over the course of therapy and adjust interventions as clinically appropriate.
Engage in ongoing professional development through available courses and community resources.
Uphold the privacy and security standards required for handling sensitive health information remotely.
Foster a strong therapeutic alliance through consistent, reliable, and empathetic virtual communication.
Support client retention by ensuring a seamless experience from the first contact through follow-up sessions.
Participate in quality assurance activities and feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the client journey.
Represent the BetterHelp brand with professionalism in every client interaction and public-facing context.
Requirements
You must hold a current, fully independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in another relevant discipline such as LPC, LMFT, or LMHC.
You must possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
You must have a minimum of 3+ years of post-licensure mental health counseling experience in a clinical setting.
You must be able to provide therapy independently without the need for clinical supervision or collaborative oversight.
You must maintain a private and professional environment that is free from distractions during all client sessions.
You must demonstrate excellent written communication skills, particularly in documentation and client messaging.
You must carry active professional liability insurance that meets the platform's coverage requirements.
You must have a reliable, high-speed internet connection capable of supporting secure video sessions.
You must currently reside within the United States and be available to work on an ongoing basis.
You must comply with all state-specific regulations governing telehealth practice for mental health providers.
You must understand and adhere to HIPAA and other relevant privacy and security regulations.
You must be comfortable working exclusively within the BetterHelp platform and its technology ecosystem.
You must be prepared to engage with a diverse population of clients with varying cultural backgrounds and identities.
You must commit to ethical practice and professional boundaries at all times during client interactions.
You must be willing to complete required training and certification programs offered through the platform.
