About the role
Base is on a mission to revolutionize the American power grid by establishing a distributed battery network. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the operational workflow that transitions utility partnerships from signed agreements to active battery installations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that projects are executed smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our initiatives.

What you'll do
- Oversee the daily health of the operational pipeline by actively monitoring deal queues, addressing routing challenges, and ensuring the integrity of CRM data.
- Facilitate seamless transitions between field teams and utility partners to uphold installation targets and reduce scheduling conflicts.
- Manage the comprehensive interconnection process, which includes tracking submissions and obtaining Permission to Operate (PTO) for projects.
- Serve as the main point of contact for utility partners concerning inspections, technical specifications, and necessary documentation.
- Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with utility representatives to proactively address process changes and prevent delays in approvals.
- Design and evaluate performance dashboards to monitor key metrics related to installation and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to identify and eliminate obstacles on the utility side that may hinder project progress.
- Regularly report on project status and provide insights to stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the deployment process.
- Assist in the development of operational strategies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to deployment operations.
- Engage in problem-solving discussions to address any unforeseen challenges that arise during the deployment phase.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in operations, program management, or roles that require collaboration across multiple functions.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly HubSpot or equivalent platforms, to manage client relationships effectively.
- Excellent written communication abilities for creating partner-facing documents and correspondence that are clear and professional.
- Capability to handle a high volume of concurrent deals and approvals while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated success in establishing external relationships and navigating process bottlenecks to ensure smooth operations.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to work on-site in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift frequently.
Nice to have
- Previous experience collaborating with utility companies, particularly in relation to interconnection agreements or within energy markets, whether regulated or deregulated.
- A background in energy, construction, or operations within field services, which can provide valuable insights into the deployment process.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards that govern utility operations and interconnections.
