Following the continued growth of Baringa, the firm is building its Central Government practice and seeking experienced Consultants and Senior Consultants to join the team. These professionals will thrive in an expanding environment, contributing to the firm's work with UK public sector clients.

The role involves defining scope for Central Government initiatives and translating policy into delivery. The successful candidate will lead scoping workshops and capture requirements while coordinating with technical leads. They will partner with departments to clarify outcomes and manage shifting priorities, ensuring clarity before execution. Ownership of end-to-end delivery for complex programmes is essential, balancing risk, timelines, and stakeholder alignment.

Key responsibilities include mapping client needs and translating policy into clear requirements for government initiatives. The role requires designing solutions with data, AI, and digital tools alongside technical specialists. Coordinating cross-functional teams to align strategy, operations, and technology delivery is a core duty. The consultant will test components, verify compliance, and validate benefits before rollout. Partnering with agencies and departments to ensure adoption and capability building is expected. Optimising workflows, removing blockers, and maintaining momentum across workstreams will be ongoing activities. Evaluating outcomes, documenting lessons, and refining approaches for future programmes are important contributions. Supporting knowledge transfer, training, and continuous improvement activities is also part of the role.

Candidates must hold UK citizenship or the right to work in the UK and be able to obtain SC security clearance. They should bring three to five years of experience in consulting or government-facing roles. Demonstrated experience working in Central Government on complex programmes is required. The ideal candidate communicates clearly with diverse stakeholders and manages ambiguity under pressure. Structured thinking to solve problems and deliver practical solutions is essential.

Experience with HMRC, DWP, Cabinet Office, HM Treasury, or other Whitehall departments is a advantage. Familiarity with data, AI, or digital transformation programmes in public sector contexts is also beneficial.

The role utilises data, AI, digital tools, Azure, cloud platforms, Agile methodologies, Prince2, DevOps, PowerBI, and SQL.

The position is located in London, United Kingdom, and is a permanent, full-time engagement. The compensation is £60,000 per year for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience.
