Baringa's finance teams are currently seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst/Advisor to join their operations. This is a full-time position based in Sofia, Bulgaria, offering an annual compensation of £45,000. The selected candidate will bring a minimum of three years of prior experience in accounts payable functions.
What You Will Be Doing
You will take ownership of the complete accounts payable cycle for designated clients, ensuring accuracy and timely execution of all processes. A primary focus will involve close collaboration with internal finance teams to resolve practical payment issues and drive efficiency. You will exercise clear judgment and demonstrate steady ownership in executing tasks with minimal supervision. Specific responsibilities include opening supplier invoices within dedicated software and verifying the correctness of account coding. You will perform three-way checks by comparing purchase orders, receipts, and goods received notes for verification. Processing vendor payments through banking portals and accurately recording transactions will be a standard duty. You will manage month-end reconciliations and actively resolve any outstanding account discrepancies.
Further duties involve managing the payables mailbox, which includes answering incoming supplier queries and diligently chasing required approvals. You will prepare self-bill documentation to support umbrella company arrangements as required. The role will also see you supporting ad-hoc projects and proactively suggesting improvements to existing procedures. Coordination with colleagues will be essential to guarantee a smooth month-end close and accurate reporting.

Success in this role requires a mandatory foundation of at least three years of hands-on experience within accounts payable positions.
