What you'll do

• Design and implement provisioning workflows for messaging services within the Bandwidth platform and related subsystems to support customer deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document requirements for messaging infrastructure features and capabilities
• Write clean, maintainable code that supports the deployment and configuration of messaging channels across multiple regions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to message delivery, provisioning pipelines, service reliability, and performance in production
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to engineering standards across the team
• Contribute to technical documentation that describes provisioning processes, system architecture decisions, operational procedures, and best practices for the team
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve provisioning efficiency, throughput, and overall reliability metrics
• Work alongside product managers to translate customer needs into actionable technical provisioning solutions and roadmaps
• Support the integration of new messaging features into existing provisioning frameworks, tools, and automation pipelines
• Assist in the testing and validation of provisioning changes before they are promoted to production environments

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in software engineering with a strong focus on backend or infrastructure development practices and methodologies
• Strong understanding of messaging protocols and telecommunications concepts relevant to provisioning and channel configuration systems
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language used for building scalable and reliable backend services
• Experience working with APIs and designing systems that handle provisioning requests at scale in distributed environments
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software development practices across distributed engineering teams and open source communities
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment across multiple time zones and geographic regions
• A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in software development
• Attention to detail when working on configuration management, provisioning automation, and infrastructure-related tasks in production
