What you'll do
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support the company's business objectives and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees to ensure a seamless integration into the company.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create tailored job descriptions that attract top talent.
- Implement and oversee employee training and development programs to promote continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by organizing team-building activities, employee recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Address employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to both employees and management to resolve conflicts and improve workplace dynamics.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes in legislation that may impact the organization.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that reflect best practices and support the company's mission and values.
- Analyze HR metrics and employee feedback to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and make data-driven decisions for improvements.
- Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing employee compensation and benefits.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in human resources to continuously enhance the HR function within Avidbots.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management, preferably in a technology or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Canada, with the ability to ensure compliance across the organization.
- Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, with a track record of successfully filling positions at various levels.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive employee issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and programs that drive employee engagement and performance.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools, including applicant tracking systems and performance management platforms.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
Nice to have
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) is an asset.
- Experience in a startup or rapidly growing company, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in such environments.
