What you'll do

• Lead the architectural design and development of scalable, high-performance software systems that meet the needs of our clients in the transportation industry.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions.
• Establish best practices for software development, including coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can enhance our product offerings and improve operational efficiency.
• Mentor and coach junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
• Ensure that security, performance, and scalability are integral components of the architectural design process.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance system reliability.
• Document architectural decisions and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation for reference and compliance.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of architectural goals and challenges.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar role, with at least 5 years in software development and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns, microservices architecture, and cloud-based solutions.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, along with experience in web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with API design and development, particularly RESTful services.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of large-scale applications.
