About the role
August Health is seeking its inaugural Revenue Operations Manager to architect and lead the RevOps function from inception. You will report directly to the Head of Sales, owning the systems and data architecture that underpins our entire go-to-market strategy as the company moves from early validation to scalable growth. This position is responsible for establishing the foundational processes, technology stack, and data standards that will enable predictable revenue execution and informed decision-making. The hire will act as the central integrator between sales, marketing, and finance, ensuring alignment on definitions, metrics, and targets. You will design the operational guardrails that allow the business to scale efficiently without sacrificing speed or insight. This role demands comfort with building critical infrastructure from the ground up in a fast-moving startup environment. You will translate high-level business objectives into concrete operational workflows and system configurations that drive measurable outcomes. Success in this position will be defined by the clarity, reliability, and actionability of the revenue data and processes you create.

What you'll do
- Assume full ownership of HubSpot as the definitive source of revenue data, enforcing rigorous data integrity standards, automating manual tasks, and instituting system governance policies that ensure long-term reliability.
- Architect the end-to-end lead lifecycle stages, develop sophisticated scoring models, and codify routing rules to guarantee seamless handoffs between marketing demand generation and sales execution.
- Engineer comprehensive full-funnel reporting dashboards that track performance metrics from the first point of contact through deal closure, providing narrative context alongside the numbers.
- Design and deploy lead management workflows that orchestrate marketing campaigns and events, ensuring consistent messaging, timely follow-up, and accurate attribution of revenue influence.
- Construct advanced forecasting models and pipeline analytics solutions that deliver leadership with transparent visibility into revenue projections, conversion rates, and risk-adjusted bookings.
- Oversee the administration of sales compensation plans, including the design of territory structures, quota modeling initiatives, and the calculation of monthly commissions in close partnership with the finance team.
- Assess the current GTM technology stack, identify inefficiencies and gaps, and drive optimization efforts that enhance productivity across sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Codify sales methodologies by formalizing playbooks, defining clear process stages, and establishing operational rhythms that synchronize planning, pipeline review, and performance analysis.
- Partner cross-functionally with finance, marketing, and customer success to ensure data consistency, resolve discrepancies, and align on shared definitions of revenue and performance.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for revenue operations questions, troubleshooting data issues, guiding system enhancements, and mentoring stakeholders on best practices.
- Establish metrics frameworks and key performance indicators that measure the health of the revenue engine and the efficiency of go-to-market operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that refine forecasting accuracy, shorten sales cycles, and increase conversion rates through data-informed process adjustments.
- Lead special projects related to revenue operations transformation, acting as a strategic partner to executive leadership on growth initiatives.
- Implement governance policies for data access, security, and privacy within the CRM and marketing platforms to support compliance and risk management.
- Create documentation and training materials to ensure the sustainability and scalability of RevOps processes and systems over time.
Requirements
- Bring 3 to 5 years of cumulative experience in Sales or Revenue Operations, with a proven track record of building processes and infrastructure from the ground up in early-stage organizations.
- Demonstrate a background working in startup or scale-up environments where you have successfully operated in fast-moving, ambiguous, and resource-constrained settings.
- Possess advanced-level HubSpot administration capabilities, including hands-on experience leading complex implementations, executing major data cleanups, and managing structural integrations with other business systems.
- Show a strong track record of managing HubSpot Marketing Hub, designing and deploying workflows, segmenting contact lists, and producing sophisticated campaign reporting.
- Exhibit the analytical acumen required to build complex forecasts, interactive dashboards, and detailed pipeline models that withstand scrutiny from senior leadership.
- Have direct, hands-on experience managing sales compensation plans, including territory design, quota setting, payout calculations, and exception handling in collaboration with finance stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats, with the ability to distill complex operational and technical details into clear, data-driven recommendations for executive audiences.
- Thrive in a collaborative setting, working closely with cross-functional partners to solve problems and align on operational definitions and standards.
- Maintain a high degree of ownership and accountability for project outcomes, demonstrating resilience and adaptability when facing shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
