About the role
Aspora is constructing a global financial architecture designed to facilitate fiat and digital asset movements across international boundaries. This position is integral to the mitigation of currency risk and the promotion of operational clarity in transactional flows. The successful candidate will take ownership of the end to end currency lifecycle, ensuring that all foreign exchange activities align with the broader risk posture of the business. You will be responsible for the meticulous oversight of daily FX operations, providing critical exposure tracking and vigilant market surveillance. This role demands a high degree of discipline in the execution of spot and forward contracts to protect the company from adverse movements. You will act as a key liaison between the trading desk and the technology teams, translating operational needs into system enhancements. The position requires a proactive mindset focused on the creation of robust controls, standardized procedures, and the automation of manual workflows where possible. Ultimately, you will ensure the integrity, efficiency, and transparency of all cross border currency transactions.

What you'll do
- Execute daily spot and forward currency trades with precision, ensuring settlement accuracy and adherence to predefined risk limits.
- Monitor open currency positions in real time and actively participate in the formulation and adjustment of hedging strategies.
- Analyze and interpret market movements, breaking down the impact of major economic events and central bank interest rate decisions on portfolio exposure.
- Compile comprehensive daily trading summaries and detailed rate sheets that provide actionable insights for senior management.
- Partner with engineering stakeholders to diagnose issues and enhance the workflows associated with trade booking, position tracking, and exposure management systems.
- Perform meticulous reconciliation of FX transactions, verifying that bookings match confirmations and that cash flows are allocated correctly within the treasury system.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banking counterparts and liquidity providers, negotiating terms and ensuring the best possible execution for the business.
- Design, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures, internal controls, and risk frameworks to safeguard against operational failures.
- Administer oversight of multi currency liquidity pools, optimizing the balance between cost efficiency and operational resilience across cross border corridors.
- Demonstrate expertise in both traditional FX instruments and the emerging dynamics of digital asset settlements, ensuring the infrastructure can handle future product offerings.
Requirements
- Bring 4 to 10 years of cumulative experience in FX, trading, or capital markets roles, with a demonstrated history of performance in high volume environments.
- Possess direct experience with daily FX booking cycles, liquidity management, and settlement processes, including the execution of T+0 and T+1 workflows without exception.
- Have a background in treasury finance operations, including complex reconciliations and cash flow allocation, that ensures the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Show a proven ability to manage and nurture relationships with banks and liquidity providers, fostering trust and reliability in critical market conditions.
- Exhibit the capability to author standard operating procedures, implement robust controls, and build scalable risk frameworks that withstand regulatory scrutiny.
- Hold a solid understanding of multi currency liquidity structures, the intricacies of cross border payment corridors, and the intersection with digital asset settlement layers.
- Apply a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and building automated solutions that reduce manual intervention and human error.
- Accumulate 4 or more years of hands on experience specifically within FX Trading Desks or Dealing Room Support functions, demonstrating deep functional knowledge.
- Maintain current knowledge of FX instruments such as spot, forward, and swap contracts, including their application in diverse market scenarios.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a closely related field that provides a rigorous foundation in financial theory and practice.

- Bring prior exposure to digital FX products or on-chain liquidity mechanisms that intersect with traditional foreign exchange markets.
- Hold a CFA or FRM Level 1 certification, indicating a commitment to professional development and regulatory knowledge.
