What you'll do

• Design and deliver high-quality finance courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, ensuring alignment with Ashesi's educational philosophy and objectives.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes in finance.
• Conduct impactful research in finance, contributing to the body of knowledge in the field and publishing findings in reputable academic journals.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of five years of teaching experience at the university level, with a demonstrated record of effective teaching and student engagement.
• A strong publication record in peer-reviewed finance journals, showcasing research contributions to the field.
• Proven ability to develop and implement innovative course materials and teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse student populations.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Nice to have

• Experience in curriculum development and program assessment in higher education.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and technology-enhanced learning methods.
• Previous experience in industry or consulting within the finance sector.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, such as Excel, R, or Python.
• Familiarity with financial databases and software, including Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) for course delivery and student engagement.
