What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement training programs and exercises that align with organizational goals and operational requirements.
• Coordinate logistics for training events, including venue selection, equipment procurement, and participant registration.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create realistic training scenarios that reflect current operational challenges.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
• Facilitate training sessions and exercises, ensuring that all participants understand objectives and expectations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of training activities, participant attendance, and performance evaluations for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all training-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to participants and stakeholders.
• Develop and distribute training materials, including manuals, presentations, and digital resources, to enhance learning outcomes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in training and development to ensure Bamboohr remains at the forefront of training excellence.
• Foster a culture of safety and preparedness by promoting best practices in training and exercise execution.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate training initiatives into broader organizational strategies and objectives.
• Prepare and manage the training budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in training coordination or a similar role, preferably within a government or military context.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs and exercises.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in using training management software and tools, as well as standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to training and exercise execution.

Nice to have

• Certification in training or instructional design (e.g., ATD, CPTD, or similar).
• Experience working with military or emergency response organizations.
• Background in project management, including familiarity with project management software.
• Understanding of evaluation methodologies and performance measurement techniques.
• Previous experience in a role that required cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess training needs and outcomes.
• Proficiency in digital tools for training delivery, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools to evaluate training effectiveness and participant performance.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive training materials using multimedia tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality training experiences.
