What you'll do
- Collaborate with artists and developers to create visually stunning and technically sound assets for our projects, ensuring alignment with the overall artistic vision.
- Develop and maintain shaders, materials, and other visual effects that enhance the user experience in our virtual reality environments.
- Optimize assets and workflows to ensure high performance across various platforms, focusing on maintaining visual fidelity while adhering to technical constraints.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to art assets, providing support to the art team in achieving their creative goals.
- Create and maintain documentation for art pipelines, tools, and processes, ensuring that best practices are shared and followed within the team.
- Participate in regular team meetings, providing feedback and insights on art and technical challenges, and contributing to brainstorming sessions for new ideas.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating new techniques and tools into the workflow to enhance productivity and creativity.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative environment.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure that deadlines are met and that the quality of the work aligns with project goals.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools that streamline the art production process, enhancing efficiency and creativity.
- Engage in playtesting and provide feedback on user experience, ensuring that the final product meets the expectations of our audience.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming or interactive media industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Unity or Unreal Engine, along with a solid understanding of 3D modeling and animation tools like Maya or Blender.
- Strong knowledge of shader development and visual effects creation, with the ability to implement them effectively in a real-time environment.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or C# to automate processes and enhance workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
